The Sweet Service Award goes to the Bantry Bay Pharmacy, which I support on occasion, but not regularly. When I went there yesterday to have a blood glucose test done, the kind pharmacist said that he had something to give me – a blood glucose monitoring kit, costing R800, which he gave me for free, as a rep had just left a spare one with him, he said. I will be a dedicated loyal customer of the Bantry Bay Pharmacy, after such kindness.
The Sour Service Award goes to Robben Island Museum, for the most recent and regular breakdown of its ferry, taking tourists to the historic Robben Island. This is the seventh breakdown since the R 26 million Sikhululekile ferry was first used in February 2008. The last breakdown was just days before the start of the World Cup.
The WhaleTales Sweet & Sour Service Awards are presented every Friday on the WhaleTales blog.
