Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 32 of Level 2, 18 September 2020.

Friday 18 September 2020, Day 32 of Level 2, Day 176 of Lockdown. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a fabulous day, my horoscope about financial abundance for today being spot on, having the confirmation of my house sale money being paid into the Trust Account and receiving news of another windfall 🙏🙏🙏; for a mild day with the slightest drizzle at times; for a morning walk to Camps Bay, having tea with Emma Farquharson at The 41 to discuss tomorrow’s Beach Clean; for having another pot of Dilmah tea with a delish croissant 🥐 at Firefly Café as the waxing next door ran a little late; for a delightful leg wax with Angelique, done with love and care, not hurting at all; for a trip to Sea Point to exchange black slacks at PnP Clothing, and a top up of my Smarties stock, unbelievable how the price of sweets and chocolates is increasing month by month; for the purchase of cat food and treats at Absolute Pets, so that the cats can share in my good luck too; for a meeting with Rick Jackson and Tracy Jackson to discuss tomorrow’s Beach Clean Up; for spoiling myself to a very light supper at Tindlovu; and for being very happy and healthy. 🙏💙

My Sweet Service Award went to Pick n Pay Clothing and the Sour Service Award to The Ladder today, the latter calling me a liar about their crystallized honey 🥵

Sweet Service Award goes to PnP Clothing; Sour Service Award goes to The Ladder!

I received a fabulous email with the good financial news, not having received any income in the past six months of Lockdown, other than receiving Discovery Cashbacks and selling the furniture in my Hermanus house. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I spoke to my Alex, to share the good news, and he sounded very upbeat about some prospects for him too.

In Sea Point I walked past Dahlia on Regent, and spontaneously popped in to congratulate the Chef owner Damian for reopening from today, having announced the permanent closure of the restaurant earlier in Lockdown. I had never eaten there and didn’t know him, but he knew my name and thanked me. I could see how excited he is to be back in his kitchen again. 💙

I have just had a lovely long chat with Johan Prins, one of my Tourist Guiding classmates, who became the ‘middleman’ in making my Hermanus house sale happen, after a 5 and a 1/2 year headache. I owe him a big spoil. 🙏🙏🙏

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, and lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
