Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 67 of Level 3, 6 August 2020.

Thursday 6 August 2020, Day 67 of Level 3, after 66 days of Levels 5 and 4 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a slightly warmer day at 15C and it being sunny, although there was a very dark cloud overhead this afternoon, with a few drops of rain; for a busy morning, with a building consultant coming to check out our apartment building, and finding all sorts of waterproofing issues; for catching up on work; for getting an idea for a story for Women’s Day, profiling Women Restaurateurs, surprised at how few there are 😱; for meeting Facebook Friends John French and Alan Hoffman, recognizing me from Facebook, complimenting me on being the best-dressed Camps Bay Cleaning Lady, wearing pearls 😂; for Jenny Stephens coming to tea and a Chocolate Swirl cheese cake taste test…. mmmm ; for dancing to Kfm 💃; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙

I had a magic eight hour sleep, meaning I had to jump out of bed as the maintenance/construction consultant arrived early (for me), and he impressed with his 2 hour investigation. Happy to hear that my pool is not leaking, as one of my fellow Trustees has been accusing me of!

My Blogpost today was about three scenarios for the opening up of Domestic and International Tourism. The most optimistic one is most unlikely and the other two are depressingly far into the future. 🥵😢

International Travel: when will South African skies reopen? Low Road and High Road scenarios

Yesterday Chef Sebastian Hendricks brought me a Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake to try. I invited Jenny to try it with me this afternoon, so delicious, creamy, firm, lovely biscuit base, made from cream cheese and créme fraîche, and a beautiful presentation. Very filling. ❤️

Once my steps are done it’s into my warm bed, for a German movie. 🍿

A Happy Birthday to special friend Charlotte Zachariou 🎈🎈🎈

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, and lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
