Utopia Cape Town launched its latest Tasting Menu in November. Five courses cost R345, and are available on Mondays to Saturdays. A Vegetarian Tasting Menu is also available, at R345.

A 5 course Tasting Menu paired with five wines costs R555.

Utopia Cape Town has brought affordable fine dining to Cape Town. It has recently been named Best Rooftop Restaurant in Africa, for the second year running.

 

Summer Tasting menu

1st course
Deshelled spicy prawn with garlic croute

2nd course
Line fish with red Thai curry sauce, sticky rice, coconut gel and Asian cucumber slaw

3rd course
Sauteed beef fillet, charred baby onion petals, raspberry vinaigrette, honey emulsion, grilled baby corn and tender stem broccoli, caramelized onion purée

4th course
Glazed pomegranate venison, pickled baby beetroot, celeriac & parsnip purée, sweet potato shards

5th course
Espresso baked yoghurt, chocolate soil, seasonal fruit, white chocolate Cremeux, blueberry sorbet

 

Summer Vegetarian Tasting Menu 

1st course
Sweetcorn pannacotta with sweet chilli jam, corn salsa and sweet potato shards

2nd course
Honey- roasted sweet potato, tempeh, crispy onion, miso aubergine, dressed micro greens

3rd course
Miso polenta, spring vegetables, white shimeji mushroom, toasted sesame, harissa grilled tofu

4th course
Vegetable barley risotto

5th course
Espresso baked yoghurt, chocolate soil, seasonal fruit, white chocolate Cremeux, blueberry sorbet

2. Tasting Menu, 5 courses R345 (Lunch & Dinner)

A deposit of R200 per person is required for reservations for tables with 6 guests or more. Table bookings should be made well in advance for dinner, as the restaurant is heavily booked ahead.

Utopia Cape Town will be open on Christmas Day as well as on New Year’s Eve.
