The Sweet Service Award goes to Woolworths in Cavendish Square, and its assistant Lunathi Daba, for her excellent service in assisting me in finding clothes in different sections of the store, and helping me carry all my shopping items, all with a friendly smile. It is a surprise when one receives such excellent service, not being the norm in the Woolworths branches I normally frequent.
I don’t often visit Lifestyle on Kloof, but needed to buy something at Wellness Warehouse yesterday morning, so spent an interesting morning, revisiting the centre, and some of its more quirky shops. My shock surprise was discovering the jam-packed Olive Branch Deli, a ‘Community Grocer‘ which has been in the centre, adjacent to Woolworths, for 18 months already! Continue reading →
The Sweet Service Award goes to SAA, and its crew on the flight from London to Johannesburg on 27 February. It was a very empty flight, and the staff was extremely friendly in looking after us. Nothing was too much trouble. The only thing that did not work was the cellphone charger, the hostess telling us honestly that it does not work throughout the plane! It was a concern for tourism that the plane was only one quarter full
The Sweet Service Award goes to Gucci in Galeries Lafayette in Nice, and its sales assistant Anete Petersone. Anete spoke perfect English, helped me connect to the store wifi so that I could get a quick approval for a belt purchase, chose the correct belt size, wrapped the gift beautifully, and guided me to the fourth floor of the store, an absolute professional. I was offered a mineral water whilst making the purchase. She guided me to the Tax Refund department in the store. I returned two days later, to buy another Gucci item, but it was not available in the Nice branch, so Anete contacted the Galeries Lafayette Haussmann branch in Paris, requesting them to keep the item for me.
