The Sweet Service Award goes to the Travel Clinic, and its Dr Etienne Fourie and assistant Debbie Gresak, who managed to squeeze me in with no booking for a Yellowfever vaccination for an overseas trip, having been recommended by Grant from the Bantry Bay Pharmacy. Sweet Service Award goes to Audi Cape Town ; Sour Service Award goes to Discovery Vitality!

The Sweet Service Award goes to Audi Cape Town, and its Service Manager Hennie Kriel and colleague Luvo, for continuously providing 11/10 service. I am unable to reset my low tyre pressure message in the car’s complicated on-board computer, and can just drive in and one of the two gentlemen will reset it for me. Similarly, when I lost my FM stations, and they reset it to FM. The workshop truly operates to its 11/10 goal in the customer service it offers.

‘SwitchBitch Book 2: My Journey of Transformation in Walking the Camino from Sole to Soul’ has been launched!

It is an exciting achievement to have published the second book in my SwitchBitch trilogy, entitled ‘SwitchBitch: My journey of transformation in Walking the Camino, Sole to Soul’, following in the footsteps of SwitchBitch Book 1, which I launched a year ago. SwitchBitch Book 1 focused on my Physical transformation, in losing 45 kg, while Book 2 is focused on the Spiritual transformation after walking the Camino. The Sweet Service Award goes to Discovery Vitality, for keeping its promises on offering its physically active members cash back on their purchases of healthy foods at Woolworths and Pick ‘n Pay, on their shopping at Clicks, and at Sportman’s Warehouse. In addition, they have weekly rewards for fitness achievements, none of which I had used until I visited The Point Mall branch earlier this week, when I received a surprise reward of a car wash at Body Wash discounted to R15 instead of the cost of R80.  Continue reading →

Are Condé Nast House & Garden Gourmet Restaurant Awards 2017 a predictor for the 2017 Eat Out Restaurant Awards?

On Monday evening Condé Nast House & Garden presented its Gourmet Restaurant Awards 2017, in conjunction with Discovery Vitality, at Klein Constantia. Restaurants were awarded in a number of categories, with some surprises, and the awards may be an indicator as to which of the 30 Eat Out Restaurant finalists will make it into the Eat Out Top Ten Restaurant list on Sunday!
