The new The Yard in the Silo District of the V&A Waterfront opened last week, as a multi-cultural cuisine restaurant, but also offering a bar, a homeware shop, and a Deli. It is the most unique restaurant I have experienced, in its diverse food offering. (more…)

The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, referred to as Zeitz MOCAA, is a public not-for-profit contemporary art museum in the Silo district of the V&AWaterfront, which collects, preserves, researches, and exhibits 21st century art from our continent of Africa. I have been to The Silo Hotel four times since it opened a month ago, and the best eating experience of the four visits thus far was the Afternoon Tea, which I enjoyed with Madge Kruger, a friend visiting from Pretoria, last week. It reflected the creativity of the talented Pastry Chef Devin Jones, formerly at Ellerman House. (more…)
