Sunday 2 January 2022, Day 94 of Level 1 😷

Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a very relaxed day, trying to catch up on sleep, sadly hard to do as the lift in the apartment building running up and down all day long, mainly the clients of apartment 202 belonging to Magsli Seguillon, I keeping record of 16 up and downs in one hour 😱😱😱; for a walk to Bakoven; for Gift coming to clean today, in Bakoven and at the Tidal Pool this afternoon; for a Community volunteer team of eleven clean up from 19h00, filling 40 garbage bags with litter; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙

Thank you to our 11 volunteers Heidi and Richard Bendel, Chairman of the Camps Bay Ratepayers Association, Petra Quinlan, Dorly Viellier, the I Know a Guy Recycling team, and Gift for filling 40 bags of litter at the Camps Bay Tidal Pool late this afternoon. Gift started cleaning up earlier in the afternoon and his filled bags were collected by the City of Cape Town. The Recycling team will sort the contents of our bags, compress the plastic, and send it to Switzerland, from which garden furniture is made. Next Saturday 8 January looks like it will be a busy day, at 30C. We would love to have the support of volunteers. I’ll send a notice closer to the weekend.

I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
