Thursday 13 August 2020, Day 74 of Level 3, after 66 days of Levels 5 and 4. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful that I got enough sleep, after late Instagramming of my day yesterday, and then waking up at about 5h00, when Jennifer Morris was awake too, and we got into an amazing brainstorm; for being able to get some more sleep, yet having enough time to write my story about dinner at Mozambik last night, a first-time visit for me; for a beautiful sunny day at 17C; for getting the double charge to my credit card back from the DipnDip owner Zakir; for a lovely walk in Camps Bay, seeing Martin Myers at Mynt CafĂŠ; for a second walk through Bakoven; for dancing the rest of my steps to Kfm’s ‘Wanneer Laas’; for sorting out some problems in the apartment building, as Henry was off sick today; for the litter in Camps Bay being under control; for a short bout of Vit D on the terrace; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Friday 24 July 2020, Day 54 of Level 3, after 66 days of Levels 5 and 4, Day 120 of Lockdown😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

Is it just me, but doesn’t it feel like a superb summer holiday day at 24 C, with swimmers in the Tidal Pool, picnickers coming to the Bakoven beaches at sunset, and one having a good start to the weekend? 😊🌞⭐️

My Blogpost today was the Sweet and Sour Service Awards, which went to Discovery Insure and ADT, respectively. Continue reading →

Saturday 16 May 2020, Day 16 of Level 4, after 35 days of Level 5 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another beautiful day, even though only 18C officially but it felt like 22C or more; a wonderful Exercise Time walk, quite social in bumping into Martin and Razia Myers walking their dog, so we walked a part of the way together, and almost literally bumping into Shubha Shukla; for a week of excellent heart exertion walking with one exception, receiving 300 Discovery points for each 🙏; for a relaxed Saturday; for driving to the Waterfront to meet up with and celebrate the birthday yesterday of my longest-standing friend Jenny Stephens, from Sub A in Wellington onwards, with a fabulous birthday cake which Food by Kai, a member of the Restaurant Food Delivery Group, had made and delivered to us in the Waterfront; for KitKat popping in for a visit; for listening and dancing to the Top40 by Carl Wastie on Kfm, with so many SA songs on the list 👏; it being such a feel-good day; for my third day of doing 20000 steps; for being healthy and happy 🙏💙 Continue reading →

South African Music industry flourishes during Corona Virus Lockdown, makes history on Kfm!

I love pop music, and was delighted to hear presenter Carl Wastie announce on Saturday morning in his award-winning show Top40SA that 13 South African songs made it onto the Top 40 List, of which six songs made the Top 10 list, and Mathew Gold’s local song ‘Burn’ made it into the number one slot! Kfm is making a special effort to promote South African music by playing only local songs in ‘SA Royalty’ from 22h00 – 24h00 every evening.
