Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 45 of Level 1, 14 November 2021

Sunday 15 November 2021, Day 45 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a peaceful stay-at-home day, working, writing, and cleaning out my fridge; for being able to assist two diners to book at Utopia; for Minsky returning home this morning after a night out on the town, so worried about her 😻; for a power nap this afternoon; for not really wanting to go for a walk after the nap, but I knew there was litter waiting to be cleaned up when I heard the children screeching for joy and the lifeguards blowing their whistles at the Tidal Continue reading →

Sunday 7 November 2021, Day 38 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a hard-working admin day for my clients, catching up on writing and proofreading; for a cool day at 19C, especially as the sun set, with a chilly wind; for a walk to Woolworths to pay my rates and taxes, and to buy my cat kids Catnip at Absolute Pets, which they love 😻; for a Bakoven walk; for a day of beautiful cloud art 💙; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙

I watched an iconic German TV show ‘Wetten Dasz’ whilst working, more than three hours long, coming back out of the grave after many years. So past its sell-by date, the presenters too. It featured the male half of ABBA, and much more.  Continue reading →

Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 85 of Level 1, 24 May 2021.

Monday 24 May 2021, Day 85 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a solid 7 hour sleep; a busy day, writing and writing most of the day; for a grey day, rain forecast to roll in tonight; for a lovely refreshing walk through Bakoven, up Houghton Road, and down the 100 Houghton Steps, to stretch from the all-day sitting; blessed with the most amazing sunset, changing in colour as I walked back home; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙

My Blogpost was about the fabulous lunch we had at Harvest Culture Eaterie on Saturday.

Harvest Culture Eaterie opens Modern Bistro in Tyger Falls Waterfront, celebrates Earth’s bounty!

My Earl Grey has an excellent nose, a cat gourmet, who loves the smell of my food. I had noticed him often scratching in a kitchen corner, thinking he was scooping up a bit of food in it. Last night I heard him being very active in the kitchen, with little squeals. I went to look, thinking that he had hurt himself. Anything but…. he was playing with a mouse that must have come out of a hole in the corner, and probably lived off the cat food at night. It ended off badly for the mouse, Grey playing with it the whole night through, making him exhausted today, sleeping all day. Henry helped to close the hole and dispose of the poor mouse. 🙀😿 Minsky was completely disinterested in all of this.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December,  extended to 15 February on 11 January, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
