Halloween has a religious origin, being a three-day observance of Allhallowtide, remembering the dead, including saints, martyrs, and all the \u2018faithful departed\u2019, Wikipedia informs. The less serious side of Halloween is celebrated with trick-or-treating, lighting bonfires, making lanterns, and costume parties. Themes related to Halloween are witches, skeletons, vampires, ghosts, cobwebs, headstones, and pumpkins. Americans started carving faces out of pumpkins. Ultimately Halloween reminds us that life is short and that we need to make the most of it. <\/div>\n

Tomorrow evening \u2018MCQP: Presents Halloween\u2019 will be jointly hosted at two neighbouring De Waterkant clubs, Crew Bar and TAU. At the event the theme and venue of this year\u2019s MCQP party of the year, to be held on Saturday 15 December, will be announced. Entrance costs R120, and tickets can be bought at  www.quicket.co.Za  <\/a>Dressing up to the Halloween theme is mandatory.<\/div>\n

Ghosts, goblins, monsters, zombies and all things creepy and scary will be summoned to our playground, with grisly rooms and floors only the bravest will dare explore\u2019, said Ian McMahon, MCQP Director. <\/span>With MCQP owning one of the largest collection of Halloween decorations, TAU and Crew Bar will be completely transformed and almost unrecognisable with amazing decor, outstanding costumes, a dungeon or rooms leading into one more scary than the other, and even some free lessons in casting spells and flying brooms.<\/span><\/div>\n
