\"\"<\/a>The Sweet Service Award<\/strong>\u00a0 goes to Wild Flour Bakery in Sea Point, a lovely new shop next door to Clicks.\u00a0 We had ordered Valentine’s Day biscuits for our guests two weeks prior to the special day, and I had arranged to collect them\u00a0last Saturday.\u00a0 As I had to be in Franschhoek at short notice, I could not collect them, as planned.\u00a0 The assistant immediately offered to deliver the biscuits to our Whale Cottage Camps Bay, and to do so without prior payment, as the owner Amelia Malan\u00a0was not in the shop at the time that I came.\u00a0 Wild Flour is a truly professional and service-orientated business, and is a pleasure to have in the neighbourhood.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The Sour Service Award\u00a0 <\/strong>goes to Vodacom Paarl Mall branch, and its Manager Izanette.\u00a0\u00a0 Sales consultant Virgil took forever with a simple request to check the address on their system, as I\u00a0have not received my account for the last\u00a0four months.\u00a0\u00a0 I then asked him to print out the latest invoice and the Easy Pay number.\u00a0\u00a0 I had to ask for everything twice, and the\u00a0invoice I requested became a statement.\u00a0 When I had the Manager called, Izanette gave me that look of “my staff are perfect and so what is your problem”!\u00a0 She wagged her finger at me,\u00a0acting like a school mistress.\u00a0 There was no apology for the poor service from her staff, which is why I had called for her.\u00a0 Subsequently\u00a0a Vodacare service staff member has called, having seen my Tweet about the poor service.\u00a0 She has made the situation worse, by calling over the weekend, making me repeat the story three times, and by promising that Izanette would call to apologise, which she still has not done a month later!<\/p>\n
