\"\"<\/a>The Sweet Service Award<\/b> goes to the Alvear Palace Hotel, and its Food & Beverage Manager Alfredo Daniel Rodriguez, for its Service recovery. I shared an unsatisfactory experience in the Bar of the Hotel earlier this week with the Hotel Receptionist, who passed on my card to Alfredo. Alfredo emailed me, and then called me, apologised, and invited me for a make-good, to experience their true five star service. And that it was, being shown a behind the scenes set up for a Barmitzvah and then offered the Bar Menu, and invited to order what I wanted. I had a first Jameson in Buenos Aires, and ordered a mushroom quiche with a salad. All sorts of extra treats accompanied this order. Gracias Alfredo and the Alvear. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The Sour Service Award<\/b> goes to Uber Buenos Aires, for its poor service in collecting me from Tegui Restaurant in Palermo in Buenos Aires. The first driver just stopped on his drive to the address, the App showing that the vehicle was not moving. I cancelled it, and booked another vehicle. The driver arrived quickly, but could not find the address of the hotel I am staying at. He knew it was in Arenales Street, from the name of the Hotel, but could not find its street number on his App. Luckily I had a business card of the hotel in my purse, and this enabled us to get going, a potential disaster as he did not speak any English. This is the second Sour Service Award to Uber since arriving in Buenos Aires. <\/p>\n
