\"\"<\/a>I was invited by journalist Andrew Thompson of UK-based Culture Trip to submit an article about the Top\u00a010 Things to do and see in Camps Bay in Cape Town. This is what I wrote just prior to the Corona Virus Lockdown:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n
1. \u00a0Take a walk from Bali Bay to the end of the Promenade at Mynt Caf\u00e9. There is no fresher and more beautiful start to the day than walking along the Atlantic Ocean, an easy way to pick up 4000 steps there and back.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
2. \u00a0Enjoy Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, and cocktails on the Promenade in Camps Bay. \u00a0A top restaurant is housed in The Roundhouse, the oldest building in Camps Bay, and was once the home of Lord Charles Somerset, the Governor of the Cape, before it became a hotel, and then restaurants.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
3. \u00a0Pick up litter along the beach. Do something good for the environment whilst going for a \"\"<\/a>beach walk, earning brownie points, and pick up plastic and paper as you walk, almost as good as touching your toes.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
4. \u00a0See a show at The Theatre on the Bay. There is a show running every week, light-hearted entertainment being offered in the main. One can have pre-theatre dinner, and take one\u2019s drinks into the theatre. And it operates during Loadshedding.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
5. \u00a0Breakfast at Maison J. They serve the best croissants in Camps Bay, made by kingpin Jason\u2019s Bakery, with excellent coffee and tea. The hangout of joggers and cyclists on weekends. Loved by the locals, to sit down or take away.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
6. \u00a0Cycle through Camps Bay. \u00a0Rent a bicycle or bring your own, and cycle all along the Atlantic Coastline, \u00a0from Hout Bay to the Waterfront. There is safe parking in Camps Bay for your car whilst you cycle.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
7. \"\"<\/a>\u00a0Chill with a cocktail at Chinchilla. It is on the third floor of the Promenade building, has a fantastic view onto the beach, a DJ playing house music on weekends, and offers some bites to eat. A place to see the cool Cape Town locals.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
8. \u00a0Swim in the Tidal Pool. It is not as cold as swimming at Camps Bay Beach, and is a hidden secret of hardened Camps Bay locals.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
9. \u00a0Surf at Glen Beach. While it is not safe for swimming it is a popular surfing beach for locals.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
10. \u00a0Drink and Dance at Caprice on a Sunday evening. DJs play, everybody who is anybody is there, it being the most popular restaurant and bar on the Camps Bay Promenade.<\/div>\n
