\"\"The Sweet Service Award<\/b> goes to KwikFit in the Waterfront, by Marlon and his team, for its fabulous service in repairing an unsightly scrape on my car acan amazingly low price. Two friends had independently recommended the company, based in the basement of a Waterfront parking garage. My car was done within 24 hours, sparkling and shiny clean (better than after any service), and I was given a pre-paid parking ticket to leave the parking garage. <\/p>\n

\"\"The Sour Service Award <\/b>goes to the City of Cape Town for taking a charge of R420 out of a R500 electricity purchase, leaving me with electricity to the value of R80! When I tried to understand what the reason was for this outrageous charge, no one in the City Call Centre could assist me, I speaking to four different persons, both in their Electricity and their General Accounts departments. They could not even find my meter number in their system.  It was the electricity supplier Power Measurement, which is an electricity subcontractor to our apartment block, to their Monica, that I learnt that the City takes R4 something per day as a service charge for the electricity one buys, from date of last purchase to the current purchase date. As I had last bought the electricity three months ago, R400 was deducted from my purchase amount of R500! There is no discount for buying a larger amount of electricity ahead, the City taking the money at the flat fee, regardless! <\/p>\n
