Corona Gratitude \ud83d\ude4f<\/u><\/p>\n
#Grateful for a cooler yet sunny day; for a very relaxed peaceful day; for a late sleep in; for a walk in Camps Bay, with lots of litter to pick up; for Maison J keeping a croissant for me, until I could come to fetch it, they being busier on weekend days; for healthy shopping at the Woolies in Lifestyle on Kloof; for popping in at the Olive Branch Deli, having to wait in a queue as we did in Level 5, only 5 persons allowed inside at a time; for going to see \u2018Made in Italy\u2019 in the Labia Cinema, sadly my expectations of the movie not met; for dancing to the Kfm Blok Party; and for being happy and healthy. \ud83d\ude4f\ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n
I was shocked when the Maison J staff told me that they are changing the name to Oat Caf\u00e9 in the next two weeks, also being the owners of the oat milk OK JA, brand suicide to me. We all love Maison J, and its French vibe. Today the music played was heavy rock, the first change. Many customers are unhappy with the non-dairy-only milk options offered, and no longer get their coffee there, it being too sweet. It was clear to me that the staff are very unhappy about it too. Starbucks is opening next door to it soon, whilst Firefly Caf\u00e9 across the road has received some of their customers too.<\/p>\n
The movie stars Liam Neeson and his son Micha\u00e9l Richardson, and is set in Tuscany, having the potential of being a modern \u2018Under the Tuscan Sun\u2019. It had no emotional pull, and I found it boring, and the ending so predictable. It is brand new, having only been released in August. I wasn\u2019t even impressed with Neeson. It has received rotten reviews. \ud83d\ude31 Very strict Covid protocol on arrival, with a form to be completed and temperature taken, but then no control over a number of people not wearing a mask inside the cinema. \ud83d\ude37\ud83d\ude31<\/p>\n

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, and lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.<\/p>\n
