Corona Gratitude \ud83d\ude4f<\/u><\/p>\n
#Grateful for a sunny day, but cooler than most days of the past week; for a Camps Bay walk, stopping at Pick n Pay to buy the Daily Maverick 168; for being driven safely to Hout Bay and back by Johan Prins; for a generous Sunday Roast Lunch at Quentin at Oakhurst Barn, seeing Melanie Davidow briefly for a hello; for a Bakoven walk; for dancing the rest of my step quota to Kfm; and for being happy and healthy. \ud83d\ude4f\ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n
Johan was in my Tourist Guiding class at the beginning of the year, and was sent by the angels to help me sell my house in Hermanus, after 5 1\/2 years. To thank him, and his wife Riana, I invited them to Quentin at Oakhurst Barn for their Sunday Roast Lunch. We all chose the colourful salad starter. The main course is now served on a counter, the staff dishing up for one and Chef Quentin carving the roast beef and roast chicken. The dessert was a marvellous Malva Tart with custard and Van der Hum ice cream, receiving a taste of their yummy strawberry ice cream too….. \ud83c\udf53\ud83c\udf53\ud83c\udf53. What a feast \u2764\ufe0f<\/p>\n
The charming Chef Quentin was on the floor most of the time, interacting with each table, in English or Afrikaans, looking relaxed, being chatty, informative, a wonderful host, and we felt totally at home \ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\udc4f.<\/p>\n

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, and lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.<\/p>\n
