Corona Gratitude \ud83d\ude4f<\/u><\/p>\n
#Grateful for a beautiful day at 28C, with almost no wind; for surviving the day with only 2 1\/2 hours of sleep after terrible noise disturbance by renters of the apartment above me until 3h00 this morning, as well as Full Moon; to Emma at The 41 for strengthening me and pulling up my spirits with a Dilmah tea, and a delicious croissant with egg and bacon, served on the beachfront lawn \ud83d\udc99; for a fabulous community beach clean up, with Camps Bay High learners and drama students from the LATMA Academy at the Theatre on the Bay joining in; for finally giving up on my Reebok shoes which I bought in Havana 20 months ago, easily having walked 4500 km in them, now for Mr Grey to play with, he loving chewing the shoelaces; for a high-cardio walk to 3rd Beach in Clifton and back, earning 300 Discovery points; for a second beach clean this afternoon at the Tidal Pool, two High School learners and a mom joining me in removing masses of litter; for the peace and quiet in our building tonight, as the noise creators checked out this morning; and for being happy and healthy. \ud83d\ude4f\ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n
The 41 Restaurant sponsors the coffee for each beach clean participant, as well as burgers for the prize winner of the most litter collected. The High School learners Klein, James and Fergus won the prize, so I sat with them, gaining an insight into school education in the time of Corona, all three being in Grade 9. I love that the school learners have to do community projects, a set number of hours per year. The Presidents Award is a voluntary project which the school supports, with community service included in it too. Having their help this morning and this afternoon was super, and they gained 2 1\/2 hours towards their hour goals.<\/p>\n
I bought my Adidas trainers some months ago, but couldn\u2019t get to wear them, until today. My Reeboks were flat flat, probably not good for my feet, while the unworn Adidas shoes make me feel like I\u2019m wearing heels, with a thick sole, especially at the back. They feel soooo comfortable but I feel that I have muscles in places which I never felt before! \ud83d\ude31<\/p>\n
I loved bumping into a brave groom-to-be, dressed up in a tutu, and wearing pearls. They asked for a photograph to be taken of the two of us. \ud83d\udc4f<\/p>\n

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, \u00a0extended to 15 February on 11 January, and extended but relaxed on 1 February, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.<\/p>\n
