\"\"<\/a>The Sweet Service Award<\/b> goes to the Western Cape Blood Service, and its Branch on Long Street especially, for doing an amazing job in encouraging blood donors to donate blood. I receive an sms message every three months to donate blood, and the welcome at the Branch is warm, the Covid protocol is strict, my iron level is checked, my blood pressure is checked, I receive a juice while donating blood, and I receive a wonderful cup of tea afterwards, with a selection of biscuits and fruit cake. One of the ladies who \u2018checks\u2019 us in knows that I drink my tea black and weak, and makes it to perfection. We receive a gift on most visits, yesterday\u2019s gift being a pair of winter socks (will be passed on), and two branded masks. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The Sour Service Award<\/b> goes to Sandak-Lewin Trust and its Portfolio Manager Greg Anderson! \u00a0I have the misfortune to have to deal with this inefficient non-customer orientated company since I moved into EbbTide Apartment block three years ago. Anderson took over our building two years ago, and does not appear to care, his response time being pathetic. Last year he promised us a same-day reply, acknowledging his response weakness, but it lasted for a month. Eight days ago I requested information and commented about incorrect minutes pertaining to R1 million maintenance quotes which we were sent by Anderson: four companies\u2019 quotes broken down into Waterproofing, Painting, etc, but without any specs as to what is to be repaired! When the non-response takes too long, I request assistance from MD Carl Smit, who has an impressive response \u00a0time. However, whenever I complain about the company\u2019s poor service, and request that Anderson be replaced, Smit attacks me personally, rather than remaining professional and business-like. \u00a0He is not impressed with previous Sour Service Awards his company has received, as they appear on the first page of Google! One wonders why he does not replace Anderson with a more efficient Portfolio Manager to prevent future Sour Service Awards and complaints from me?<\/p>\n
