Creation jumped dramatically from outside of the Top 50 List in 2020, while Delaire Graff slid dramatically from 14th Best in 2020.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The number one vineyard of the year once again, for the third year running, is \u00a0Zuccardi Valle De Uco in Mendoza in Argentina (Photograph above), the wine estate that impressed me most when I visited Mendoza in 2019, just before the inaugural Top 50 Vineyards winner was announced in that year. \u00a0Winemaker Sebasti\u00e1n Zuccardi runs a good show, with a modern building, an excellent restaurant, and wines produced in desert conditions using concrete eggs, against a backdrop of the snow-capped Andes.<\/p>\n<p>My impressions of the visit to Zuccardi Valle De Uco follow:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"fJ90vw8566\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chrisvonulmenstein.com\/blog\/cape-town\/zuccardi-piedra-infinita-in-mendoza-uco-valley-best-restaurant-in-argentina\/\">Zuccardi Piedra Infinita in Mendoza Uco Valley Best restaurant in Argentina!<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Zuccardi Piedra Infinita in Mendoza Uco Valley Best restaurant in Argentina!&#8221; &#8212; Whale Tales Blog\" src=\"https:\/\/www.chrisvonulmenstein.com\/blog\/cape-town\/zuccardi-piedra-infinita-in-mendoza-uco-valley-best-restaurant-in-argentina\/embed\/#?secret=fJ90vw8566\" data-secret=\"fJ90vw8566\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p># \u00a0<b>Creation<\/b> was praised for the location of the winery in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, with a <a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.chrisvonulmenstein.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/8C7987EF-80DF-438F-93F5-5A5A995FA400.jpeg?ssl=1\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-213616\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.chrisvonulmenstein.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/8C7987EF-80DF-438F-93F5-5A5A995FA400.jpeg?resize=276%2C183&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"276\" height=\"183\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.chrisvonulmenstein.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/8C7987EF-80DF-438F-93F5-5A5A995FA400.jpeg?w=276&amp;ssl=1 276w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.chrisvonulmenstein.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/8C7987EF-80DF-438F-93F5-5A5A995FA400.jpeg?resize=200%2C133&amp;ssl=1 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 276px) 100vw, 276px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a>cool climate, producing fresh Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. Its beauty \u2018<i>will truly blow you away\u2019.<\/i>\u00a0 The wine estate was started from scratch by JC and Carolyn Martin in 2002, with a first harvest in 2006. Various Food and wine pairings are offered, the wine dictating the food pairing.<\/p>\n<p># \u00a0<b>Delaire Graff<\/b> is praised for its luxury estate, including Graff jewelry boutique, Delaire Graff and Indochine restaurants, artworks, and a Tasting Room. Its wine are made from grapes grown on the north-facing high altitude Botmaskop by winemaker Morn\u00e9 Vrey.<\/p>\n<p># \u00a0 <b>Klein Constantia<\/b> is linked to its early beginnings in 1685 \u00a0of Vin De Constance drunk by international royalty, and written about by well-known authors.
