#grateful for a mixed day of energy and of relaxation; for a cool day of 19C; for a light traffic drive to Harvest Culture Eaterie at Tyger Falls Waterfront for a Status meeting, served my favorite Dilmah Earl Grey tea with a slice of their newest Baked Cheesecake cake addition, so beautifully presented; for getting a Business Card designed at Wizardz in the Waterfront, using a special, realizing that for what I do I need a card, mine being at least 3 years out of date; for a shock discovery of the sign of the times that CNA and the Post Office have closed down in the Waterfront, although the post boxes are still there – I\u2019ve had mine for 30 years \ud83d\ude31, now needing to change to postal delivery to my home address; for finding a 2022 diary at Typo, something which will probably become obsolete too!; for a stock up on my Tomes chocolate stash; for a quick shop at Woolworths; for a scrambled egg treat at WCaf\u00e9 in the Woolies; for getting home to my cat kids \ud83d\ude3b\ud83d\ude3b; for an afternoon of posting for my clients; for a gorgeous sleep during Loadshedding, waking up to a Utopia post I had posted just before my sleep having exceeded 200 likes on Instagram already in the short time \u2764\ufe0f; for wonderful music on Kfm\u2019s Blokparty; for a FaceTime chat with Annette Krueck about their New Years Eve dining plans in Cape Town; for the wonderful peace and quiet in our building \ud83d\ude4f; and for being happy, healthy and free. \ud83d\ude4f\ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n
Two hours in the Waterfront was too much. I couldn\u2019t believe how busy it was getting to the parking, roadworks near the V&A Hotel causing a traffic jam, and everywhere I went it was busy. I was told that it isn\u2019t like this every day. The WCafe was jam packed, one having to queue, with resultant poor service. \ud83d\ude31 I was very happy to get out of the centre.<\/p>\n
I have just had a looooong chat with my Alex \u2764\ufe0f, he telling me how short the hospitality industry is of staff in London, and what salary inflation is doing to the industry, driving up restaurant prices, a cappuccino soon costing \u00a312 = R240. Brexit is partly to blame. \ud83d\ude31<\/p>\n
