Corona Lockdown Gratitude \ud83d\ude4f<\/u><\/p>\n
#grateful for a cooler day today compared to yesterday, at 27C, surprisingly considerable quieter in Camps Bay; for a very busy working morning, trying to catch up on work not done in the past two days, due to birthday celebrations and the 21 hour power blackout; for squeezing in a very quick Bakoven walk; for two Discovery Gameboard plays; for getting balloons for our Zest Chef Scott Melvin, for his birthday of yesterday when he took the day off; for a good meeting with newkings, Bradley Berad Williams being a new Reservations Manager and sitting in the meeting with us for the first time; for a good Zest meeting, the restaurant being nice and busy; for meeting Jenny Stephens at Zest for a soft drink, catching up on news of the past few months; for a Camps Bay walk after Gift came to report to me at the end of his litter cleaning session, to get paid; for an (interrupted) chat with Kelly Szabo, to be continued later in the week, having to catch up on work I\u2019m still behind on; and for being happy, healthy and free. \ud83d\ude4f\ud83d\udc99<\/p>\n

What an amazing hands-on new Mayor we have:<\/p>\n
\u2018I didn\u2019t want to post this during the power outage, so as not to cause unnecessary concern, but this team of the City of Cape Town Disaster Management staff were going door to door in hi-rise buildings to check on the elderly and the infirm – making sure they were ok and had water etc. They were loud hailing through the streets to make sure everyone had the help they needed. They did an amazing job, so I took them for an ice cream to cool off in the heat when it was all over. Well done, Team Cape Town.\u2019 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We were delighted that our Mayor chose Gibson\u2019s in Camps Bay to spoil his team with ice creams. \ud83c\udf66\ud83c\udf66\ud83c\udf66<\/p>\n SA Corona Status: 3,353,106 cases 90587 deaths\u00a0 <\/span>27,733,331 vaccinations\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n FitBit 8000 steps 6 km \ud83d\udc63<\/p>\n LovemylifeandloveGaryslife<\/p>\n The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, \u00a0extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June, extended by two weeks on 11 July, \u00a0returned to Level 3 on 26 July, returned to Level 2 on 13 September, and returned to Level 1 on 1 October is an unprecedented event in my lifetime.
