\"\"<\/a>Despite it being Spring, few new restaurants are known to be opening, or planning to open, in Cape Town and the Winelands.<\/p>\n

The biggest recent restaurant openings are Dusk in Stellenbosch, a joint venture by Chefs Darren Badenhorst and Callan Austen. Chef Peter Tempelhoff is to open a Japanese Street Food restaurant on the ground floor of Speakers Corner, the building in which FYN operates. TANG will create a big stir when it opens in the Waterfront, already being a\u00a0socialite\u2019s haven in Sandton. Paul\u2019s Bakery and Tiger\u2019s Milk are said to be opening in the Waterfront too, and Belthazar will reopen in the Waterfront in November. Michael Townsend is opening a number of Fancy Franks.<\/p>\n

Back\u2019s Restaurant has closed down in Stellenbosch. \u00a0Dizzys Restaurant & Bar has closed down in Camps Bay. \u00a0Himitsu at\u00a0Camps Bay Retreat has closed down. Firefish has closed down in the Waterfront. Chef Bertus Basson is closing Overture and The Deck at the end of this month, and is said to be opening at Waterkloof.<\/p>\n
