The owner is Sue Olivier and together with Thandi, her assistant, they convey that nothing is too much trouble. There is a complimentary carafe of sherry; DSTV; CLEAN linen; a huge bath and shower; heating in the bathroom; gown and slippers; exquisite breakfasts even for vegetarians, and so on\u2026 It really makes visiting Joburg pleasant! \"\"<\/a>The Sour Service Award<\/strong>\u00a0 goes to the V&A Waterfront, for running a competition, advertised in\u00a0the Cape Argus, <\/strong>encouraging one to “Get away with the V&A”,\u00a0with a prize offered of a trip for two persons to the Royal Livingstone Hotel in Zambia.\u00a0 It is marketing madness to market an accommodation property in another country, when the local tourism industry is in dire straits.\u00a0 Surely the V&A Waterfront company should be proudly Cape Town, and even more so Proudly Waterfront, and offer prizes for accommodation at the four and\u00a0five star hotels in the Waterfront?!\u00a0<\/p>\n
