* \u00a0\u00a0Caf\u00e9 Dijon<\/strong> has closed its restaurants on Plein Street and at Zorgvliet in Stellenbosch, and has opened in the Rockwell Centre in Green Point<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, Cape Town, on Napier Street opposite Anatoli\u2019s.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Luke Dale-Roberts, <\/strong>Eat Out<\/strong> Top Chef at The Test Kitchen, is to open\u00a0a real test kitchen, called\u00a0The Kitchen of Dreams<\/strong>, a private experimental place to develop new recipes, at the Old Biscuit Mill<\/p>\n

* \u00a0Chef Luke Dale-Roberts is opening a pop-up\u00a0Pot Luck Club<\/strong> in Swiss ski resort Verbier, at the Hotel Farinet, from 8 December – April, to be run by him, his chef Nicolas Wilkinson, and front of house Selena Afnan-Holmes.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Col\u2019Cacchio<\/strong> has opened a new outlets in Westlake, and a new one is coming in Claremont too.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0A new\u00a0Vida \u00e9\u00a0Caffe<\/strong> new branches are to open on Maindean Place in Claremont, at the new Wembley Square 2 development, at The Paddocks, and Groote Schuur. \u00a0Two more branches are planned for Mauritius.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0The <\/strong>Slug & Lettuce<\/strong> has opened where Beads was on Church Street in Stellenbosch<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Stable<\/strong><\/strong>s<\/strong> at Vergelegen Bistro<\/strong> has opened as a lunch restaurant in Somerset West. \u00a0Its Lady Phillips Restaurant is being given a make-over by Christo Barnard, and will open on 1 November with a new name called Camphors at <\/strong>Vergelegen. <\/strong>The new chef will be PJ Vadas, previously of The Roundhouse in Camps Bay.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Coopmanshuijs<\/strong> in Stellenbosch is opening a restaurant.<\/p>\n

* <\/strong>Sunbird Bistro<\/strong> in Camps Bay has closed down<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Limoncello<\/strong> in Gardens has closed down, but is continuing with its pop-up restaurant truck<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Paparazzi <\/strong>has closed down on St George\u2019s Mall<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Wicked Treats<\/strong> in Franschhoek has closed down.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Casa Nostra<\/strong> has closed down in Sea Point, until it finds a new venue.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Bistro on Rose<\/strong> in Bo-Kaap has closed down as a restaurant<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 The Kove <\/strong>in Camps Bay has closed down, its space has become part of sister restaurant Zenzero<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Sinnfull<\/strong> has closed down in Sea Point and Camps Bay<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Liam Tomlin Food <\/strong>is closing down in Franschhoek at the end of October<\/p>\n

Restaurant staff\/venue changes<\/span><\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0 Il Cappero<\/a><\/strong> has moved from Barrack Street, to Fairway Street in Camps Bay.<\/p>\n

*\u00a0\u00a0Table Thirteen<\/strong> <\/a>has reduced in size in Green Point and will open in Paarden Eiland later this year.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0The\u00a0V&A Waterfront <\/strong>Food Court<\/strong> is closed for renovations until November. \u00a0A sign outside the construction area lists the following businesses moving into or returning to the area: Primi Express, Anat, Carnival, N\u00fcr Halaal, Royal Bavarian Bakery, KFC, Boost Juice, Simply Asia, Steers, Debonairs, Subway, Marcel\u2019s, and Haagan Dazs. \u00a0Nando\u2019s is also opening.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Fyndraai Restaurant<\/strong><\/a> will move to another building on the wine estate in November, and will offer fine dining. \u00a0The current restaurant will serve light lunches and picnics.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Josephine Gutentoft\u00a0has moved to Makaron<\/strong> at Majeka House as Restaurant Manager and Sommelier.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>* \u00a0 The Reserve has changed its name to\u00a0Reserve Brasserie<\/strong>.<\/a> Seelan Sundoo, ex Grand Caf\u00e9\u00a0Camps Bay and ex La Perla, is the new consultant chef and GM (Seelan Sundoo has since left, now running the Shimmy Beach Club).<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Chef Andrew Mendes from ex-Valora is now at\u00a0<\/strong>Nelson\u2019s Eye<\/strong> restaurant, where they are setting up a lunch section and cocktail bar upstairs.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Giulia\u2019s<\/strong> Food Caf\u00e9\u00a0Restaurant <\/strong>has opened where Miss K was on Main Road, Green Point. Now serve Italian-style lunch and dinner, but have retained some Miss K breakfast and pastry items.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Having bought the farm about 18 months ago,\u00a0Antonij Rupert Wines<\/strong> has taken over the Graham Beck Franschhoek property. They will re-open the tasting room in October, initially offering all its Antonij Rupert, Cape of Good Hope, Terra del Capo, and Protea wines to taste. \u00a0They are renovating the manor house, to which the Antonij Rupert and Cape of Good Hope wines will be moved for tasting at a later stage.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Orphanage<\/strong> is expanding into a property at its back, opening on Orphan Street, in December, creating a similar second bar downstairs, and opening\u00a0<\/strong>Orphanage Club <\/strong>upstairs, with 1920\u2019s style music by live performers<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0GOLD Restauran<\/strong>t has moved into the Trinity building<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Opal Lounge<\/strong><\/a> has closed down on Kloof Street, and has moved into Blake\u2019s Bar building, renaming it\u00a0Dinner at Blake\u2019s. <\/strong>A wine and tapas bar has also been opened, called Bar Rouge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Mano A Mano<\/strong> has opened on Park Street, where Green\u2019s used to be.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 MondeVino Restaurant at Montecasino in Johannesburg, the MasterChef SA prize for the next two years, is to be renamed Aarya<\/strong>, and is to be run by Chef Deena Naidoo from November onwards.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Bizerca <\/strong>has moved into the ex-Gourmet Burger space in Heritage Square on Shortmarket Street.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 \u00a0Co-owner Abbi Wallis has taken over the running of The Stone Kitchen<\/strong> at Dunstone Winery in Wellington.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Marcelino has left\u00a0Marcelino\u2019s Bakery<\/strong>, leaving the control with Mr Zerban. \u00a0A Zerban\u2019s style restaurant is being added onto the bakery and will open mid-October. \u00a0It will change its name to EuroHaus.<\/strong><\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Chef Chris Erasmus from\u00a0Pierneef \u00e0 La Motte<\/strong> is doing a stage with Chef Rene Redzepi at Noma, the number one World\u2019s 50 Best Restaurants, in Copenhagen this month<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 MasterChef SA runner-up Sue-Ann Allen is joining South Africa\u2019s number\u00a0one\u00a0Eat Out <\/strong>Top 10 restaurant\u00a0The Greenhouse<\/strong> as an intern for a month, from 21 August.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Vintage India<\/strong> has moved out of the Garden\u2019s Centre to the corner of Hiddingh and Mill Street, around the corner.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Nook Eatery<\/strong> in Stellenbosch has been sold, with new owners.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Buena Vista Social Club has changed its name to Barbosa Social Club<\/strong><\/p>\n
