Tuesday offered to deliver two sheets of Rhino board to our Whale Cottage guest house in Camps Bay in his bakkie, when the sheets were just a few centimetres too wide to fit onto the back seat of our car, especially as it was a few minutes to closing time. \u00a0It is service like this that makes Cape Town such a special city!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.whalecottage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/telkom2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-36457\" title=\"telkom2\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.whalecottage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/telkom2-150x150.jpg?resize=150%2C150\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" <strong>Sour Service Award<\/strong> goes to Telkom, which took four hours to restore the ADSL connection to the whole of Franschhoek last Friday. \u00a0The ADSL-outage was a major inconvenience to every business in the village, coming at a bad time just before the weekend. \u00a0The ADSL-outage concluded a week of technical problems in the village, with Vodacom as well as 3G problems experienced earlier last week, and have continued this week.<\/p>\n<p><span>The <\/span><strong>WhaleTales Sweet &amp; Sour Service Awards<\/strong><span> are presented every Friday on the WhaleTales
