\"\"<\/a>The Sweet Service Award<\/strong> goes to Haute Cabri\u00e8re, for its invitation to the guest houses and hotels in Franschhoek, to thank them for their support and business in the past year. A four course lunch was prepared by Chef Ryan Shell and his team yesterday. \u00a0The restaurant has invited its referral ‘colleagues’ for a number of years, the only restaurant in Franschhoek to do so. \u00a0We tried the Table d’Haute Menu available at R300 on Tuesday – Saturday for lunch, which consisted of a Smoked salmon and parsley potage parmentier with salmon tartare, Hand-rolled gnocchi with smoked tomato cream and semi-dried tomatoes, Coconut battered line fish with braised lentils, and a Chocolate brownie and lavender ice cream cannoli, banana and cardamom corn dog, and caramel sauce.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The Sour Service Award<\/strong> goes to The Roundhouse, nominated by Damian Brown QC, who wrote: “I was at the Roundhouse on Tuesday<\/em> (last week) and my friend and I used our credit cards for the first time in SA since getting here Saturday. The next day my card was used in Observatory and his in Philippines. Despite complaining to the Duty Manager, Zaid, did not respond for some days and when he did he said he interviewed the waiter who seemed innocent to him! It is the only place we used our cards and the fraud occurred on both. \u00a0I can push it much further and in truth my card provider will cover it but you might want to let people to know to be careful even somewhere as good and safe as that place”.\\<\/em><\/p>\n
