* \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>The Rotisserie at<\/strong> Leopard’s Leap<\/strong><\/a> has opened in Franschhoek, with Chef Pieter de Jager (left), moving across from Pierneef \u00e0 La Motte<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 <\/strong>Antipasto Bar<\/a><\/strong> has opened at the new Anthonij Rupert Wines tasting room, where Graham Beck used to be, outside Franschhoek<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 \u00a0Sacred Ground<\/strong><\/a><\/strong> has opened as a Deli and Bakery in The Square in Franschhoek<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Kloof Street House<\/a><\/strong> has opened where Opal Lounge used to be.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 New\u00a0Vida \u00e9\u00a0Caffe<\/strong> new branches are to open on Maindean Place in Claremont, at the new Wembley Square 2 development, at The Paddocks, Groote Schuur, and Roeland Street. \u00a0Two more branches are planned for Mauritius.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Mischu: The Coffee Showroom<\/strong> has opened on Regent Road in in Sea Point.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Deluxe <\/strong>U<\/strong>rban Caf\u00e9 <\/strong>has opened in the old Cape Quarter.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Gourmet Cakes <\/strong>has opened on Kloof Street<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Peter’s House<\/strong><\/a> has opened on Kloofnek Road<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 A new restaurant and micro brewery is to open next door to The Bromwell in Woodstock (name not yet known).<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Le Venue<\/strong> has opened at The House of JC le Roux<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 The Harbour House<\/strong> group is opening a new restaurant at 107 Loop Street.<\/p>\n

Restaurant Closures<\/span><\/p>\n

* \u00a0 French Toast Wine\u00a0and Tapas Bar<\/a><\/strong> has closed down, following the death of co-owner John Harrison.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0The Kove<\/strong> in Camps Bay has closed down, its space has become part of sister restaurant Zenzero<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Sinnfull<\/strong> has closed down in Camps Bay<\/p>\n

* Planet Green Salad<\/strong> has closed down<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Freedom Hill Restaurant<\/strong> has closed down (and subsequently burnt down).<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Wale Rose Lifestyle<\/strong> has closed down in Bo-Kaap.<\/p>\n

Restaurant staff\/venue changes<\/span><\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0The <\/strong>V&A Waterfront <\/strong>Food Court<\/strong> has re-opened, with Primi Express, Anat, Carnival, N\u00fcr Halaal, Royal Bavarian Bakery, KFC, Boost Juice, Simply Asia, Steers, Debonairs, Subway, Marcel\u2019s, Haagan Dazs, and Nando\u2019s.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Fyndraai Restaurant<\/strong><\/a> will move to another building on the wine estate, and will offer fine dining. \u00a0The current restaurant will serve light lunches and picnics.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Giulia\u2019s<\/strong> Food Caf\u00e9\u00a0Restaurant<\/strong> has opened where Miss K was on Main Road, Green Point. Serve Italian-style lunch and dinner, but have retained some Miss K breakfast and pastry items.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Orphanage Cocktail Emporium<\/strong> has expanded into a property at its back, opening on Orphan Street, creating The Dining Room<\/a><\/span><\/strong> downstairs. \u00a0It is opening\u00a0Orphanage Club<\/strong> upstairs, with 1920\u2019s style music by live performers, in about 6 months.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Marcellino’s Bakery has changed its name to\u00a0EuroHaus<\/a>,<\/strong> with a restaurant added to the bakery.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Maryna Frederiksen is the new Executive Chef at\u00a0The Franschhoek Kitchen<\/a> <\/strong>at Holden Manz.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 The ex-Caveau owners have taken over the running of the <\/strong>Twankey Bar <\/strong>of the Taj hotel.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Sand at The Plettenberg hotel has changed its name to Seafood at The Plettenberg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Lasse Presting is the new Manager of the\u00a0Haute Cabriere<\/strong> restaurant<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Chef Alistair Lawrence has taken over from Fernando Romano at 5 Rooms<\/strong> at The Alphen Hotel<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 De Oude Bank Bakkerij <\/strong>is expanding, and will open a retail section selling charcuterie, fresh meats, home-made ice cream, and wines, collectively called De Companje, from February<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Taste Restaurant<\/strong> has moved to Bilton Wines<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Bar1<\/strong> has opened where Sunbird Bistro <\/strong>was in Camps Bay.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Chef Reuben Riffel and his colleague Maritz Jacobs have been contracted to design the menus and prepare the food for weddings and events at All\u00e9e Bleue.<\/strong><\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Thai Caf\u00e9<\/strong> is to open where the coffee shop was at\u00a0the\u00a0entrance to Piazza St John in Sea Point<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Sensei Deon de Jongh has left Okamai <\/strong>at Glenwood wine estate in Franschhoek.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Baked Bistro<\/a><\/strong> has open in Bakoven, where Marika’s and Saboroso used to be<\/p>\n
