* \u00a0 Agricultural Tourism is a new opportunity for our country, reports Southern African Tourism Update<\/a>, <\/strong><\/span>offering\u00a0a learning opportunity for international farmers, according to\u00a0Margi Biggs, MD at Specialized Tours & Events, Marius Botha, Owner at Guttera Tours, and\u00a0Eugene Booysen, MD of Cape AgriTours. Farmers from other countries\u00a0want to learn about new farming products, to network, \u00a0and to meet farmers to learn about techniques, to apply in their home countries. \u00a0The top source markets for agricultural tours include the UK, Germany, Brazil, France, Austria, India, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Canada, Ukraine, Chile, and the USA.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Champagne sales are bubbling in the UK, reports\u00a0Decanter<\/b><\/a>, almost doubling. \u00a0 Best sellers include \u00a0Dom Perignon 2004, Taittinger 2002 and 2004 and Pol Roger Winston Churchill 2000.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 South Africa has 14 million internet users, representing 39% of adults, according to research conducted by\u00a0Digital Media & Marketing Association<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Stellar Winery has become a member of the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative (BWI), designating it as one of the world\u2019s leading ethical wine producers. The wine producer was recently recognized by The Drinks\u2019 Business Green Awards 2013 as Ethical Company of the Year, and is located between Bulshoekdam and Koekenkaap in the West Coast Municipality. The area forms part of the Cape Floral Kingdom of the Namaqualand. \u00a0In addition to six main vegetation types, there is waterfowl, game, birds of prey, dolphins, and a colony of freshwater turtles. * \u00a0 Creation must be one of the most creative wine estates in our country, always adding to their offering, and excellent at communicating what they do. \u00a0They have just launched \u00a0two new wine and food pairing options to their mix:<\/p>\n

a) \u00a0 \u00a0Paradoxical Chocolate Pairing \u00a0–\u00a0instead of pairing the chocolate itself with wine, the chocolate elevates the flavours in the wine. Creation has commissioned four specially blended, velvety smooth chocolates to be served with four of its wines.<\/p>\n

b) \u00a0 Non-Alcoholic Flavour Pairing –\u00a0\u00a0partnering with the luxury TWG Tea brand, a tea and canap\u00e9 pairing is offered. Creation has also developed a vegetarian menu, and a pairing experience suitable for designated drivers, expectant moms, and those who abstain for religious reasons.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Mail & Guardian<\/b><\/a>\u00a0asks an interesting question – if SA Tourism claims high numbers of Chinese tourists, where are they? \u00a0 They are in Chinese owned shops and Chinese restaurants, it appears! \u00a0And we know they may be transit passengers, included in the SA Tourism stats!<\/p>\n
