* \u00a0Adderley Street will undergo construction work for the MyCiTi Bus this month, the City of Cape Town<\/span> <\/strong><\/a>warns.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Clever is the new campaign to collect and\u00a0used soap<\/strong><\/span><\/a> from hotels, to give to underprivileged families. \u00a0One hopes that the campaign will spread to South Africa too.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Arniston Bay has launched its first two infused wines: \u00a0Arniston Bay Graviola and Passion Fruit Infusion, and Arniston Bay Mint Aloe and Lemongrass Infusion. \u00a0The new wines have a screwcap, are low in alchohol at\u00a05,5%, and are lightly spritzed. \u00a0Packaging is\u00a0100% recyclable. \u00a0They cost around R44. * \u00a0 Wine bloggers in the USA and Canada have a strong influence on wine buying in those countries, 300 bloggers were told at a wine blogging conference<\/strong><\/span><\/a> in Canada, in which WOSA (Wines of\u00a0South Africa) was involved, and they are increasingly writing about South African wines.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Twitter has been used to ‘research’ restaurants<\/strong><\/span><\/a> in New York City that are most associated with food poisoning, and found 120 such restaurants, correlating with poor hygiene as found by the city’s health inspectors!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0* \u00a0 Who owns the Twitter account<\/strong><\/span><\/a> when the staff member leaves? \u00a0Three case studies show that \u00a0usually the account belongs to the employer. Cape Town Tourism has allowed its two former staff members and \u00a0dominant Tweeters, Mariette du Toit-Helmbold (5621 followers) and Skye Grove (6893 followers), to leave the company with their Twitter accounts, even though they were opened during their employ at Cape Town Tourism, carried their job titles, and the link to the Cape Town Tourism website. \u00a0Mrs Helmbold specifically should have handed over her account, as she has started her own tourism consultancy Destinate, which one could say is partly competitive to Cape Town Tourism.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Catching crayfish should be banned for 10 years so that stocks can be replenished, says Judith Sole, the leader of the Green Party, reports The Times<\/strong>. \u00a0Ms Sole and her party feel so strongly about this that they have taken Fisheries Minister Tina Joemat-Pettersson to court about what she believes is the most ‘critically endangered species<\/em>‘. \u00a0Despite losing the case, Ms Sole is appealing the ruling.<\/p>\n
