* \u00a0 Minister of Finance Pravin Ghordan has agreed to relook his ban on the purchase of wines<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>with state funds, announced in Parliament on Wednesday, after he received complaints from WOSA as well as Parliamentarians that entertaining foreign dignitaries without wine is unthinkable!<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 The Finalists for the Diners Club Winemaker of the Year 2013, with \"Diners<\/a>the theme of non-Bordeaux red blends, \u00a0have been announced:<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 The excellent Cape Town Art Fair is being held at The Lookout in the V&A Waterfront, until Sunday, 10h00 – 20h00\/18h00, representing more than 800 art works, 300 artists, and 40 galleries in Cape Town and Franschhoek.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 ‘Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown: South Africa<\/em>‘<\/span><\/a>,<\/strong> which aired on CNN today, has been slated by viewers for its rudeness to South Africans, as well as to the restaurant scene in Cape Town. \u00a0Bourdain only filmed his show in Johannesburg and did not visit Cape Town, saying that he knew he would be criticised for that, but that Cape Town restaurants do not serve food representative of South Africa! \u00a0Bourdain was guided by Andrea Burgener<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, who has a restaurant in Johannesburg, and appeared in Season 2 of MasterChef SA. \u00a0He ate a sheep’s head, shot and ate impala, and ate at the Braamfontein Neighbourgoods Market, reports The Times<\/strong>. His series has won an Emmy Award.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 The beautiful blue beach house on Camps Bay beach has been built for the filming of ‘<\/strong><\/span><\/a>SAF3<\/strong><\/span><\/a>‘<\/em>, by the same Executive Producer Greg Bonann who also produced ‘Baywatch<\/em>‘. \u00a0The R160 million production represents Malibu Beach. \u00a0The Camps Bay Ratepayers’ and Residents’ Association has requested that it take over the building as a community hall once filming has been completed. \u00a0A matching blue lifeguard seat has also been erected on the beach for the shoot.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 The Galileo Open Air Cinema<\/strong><\/span><\/a> launches at the croquet lawn outside the Springbok Museum in the V&A Waterfront on 7 November, and every Thursday evening until the end of April, with the screening of ‘Pretty Woman<\/em>‘. \u00a0 The movie program is here<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n
