\"Cape<\/a>The Sweet Service Award<\/strong> goes to the Cape Town Art Fair<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and its impressive inaugural mega multi-gallery art exhibition at The Lookout in the V&A Waterfront last weekend, with hundreds of artworks, about 40 galleries, and more than a hundred artists’ works on show. \u00a0The excellent food by four chefs, offered by Culinary Art by Opulent Living, the Graham Beck MCCs, and excellent organisation impressed.<\/p>\n

\"SA<\/a>The Sour Service Award<\/strong> goes to the SA Vodka\u00a0Festival, an inaugural vodka tasting festival which was organised by Monyetla Communications and Events, based in Johannesburg and ‘…a young vibrant and fast growing 100% black owned event management<\/em>‘ company, says its Facebook page with 31 likes! The Festival was\u00a0cancelled at short notice\u00a0on \u00a0Wednesday, when the exhibitors (including Jorgensen’s Distillery and their Primitiv Vodka) arrived to locked doors at \u00a0The Lookout in the V&A Waterfront, wanting to set up! \u00a0The organisers Facebooked: ‘We have bad news for all the #Vodkalovers that are attending or were suppose<\/em> (sic) to Attend<\/em> (sic) #SAVodkaFestival2013. Because of certain circumstances the event has been canceled<\/em> (sic)! \u00a0On Twitter the company apologised and invited attendees to join them for a party at Club 169 on Long: ‘we really do apologies<\/em> (sic) for any inconvenience<\/em>‘. \u00a0Refunds for attendance tickets at Computicket were promised, as was a media statement, which has not been released more than 24 hours later. \u00a0The company’s website content has been removed and the telephone is not being answered. \u00a0The V&A Waterfront has not explained its action at its renamed ‘The Lockout’ venue!<\/p>\n
