* \u00a0 A short-lived marriage between the DA and Agang<\/strong><\/span><\/a> came to an end yesterday, Mamphela Ramphele withdrawing her collaboration with the DA in standing as their Presidential candidate! \u00a0On Social Media the two parties’ collaboration was welcomed, and described as a breath of fresh air in South African politics. \u00a0 Since yesterday, both women leaders of the two parties have been slated, Helen Zille for her lack of judgement in collaborating with Ramphele, and Ramphele for not honouring her agreement with the DA.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Cutting SAA routes (such as Buenos Aires, and London\/Cape Town) is detrimental to the tourism industry at a time when the weak Rand<\/strong><\/span><\/a> is increasing interest amongst travellers in visiting our country.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Nando’s is using Mobile Social Media<\/strong><\/span><\/a> for its ‘This time of year nobody should have to eat alone’<\/em> campaign for the first time, Mxit<\/strong> reaching 6,5 million users spending 95 minutes on the medium on average per day.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 The South African Brandy Foundation is hosting two Fine Brandy Fusion events this year, from 22 – 23 May at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, and from 5 – 6 June at the Sandton Convention Centre. \u00a0Fifty leading brandies will be on show. Masterclasses, brandy tastings, and food and brandy pairings will be offered, and the new Urban Brandy Cocktail Route will be introduced. * \u00a0 Since the start of our country’s democracy twenty years ago, 400 road names have been changed<\/strong><\/span><\/a> nationally. \u00a0Only 4% of these are in Cape Town, 68% are in Durban, 17% in Johannesburg, and 11% in Pretoria.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Cape Town’s Fan Walk<\/strong><\/span><\/a> between the city centre and the Cape Town Stadium should be expanded to include other areas of Cape Town, such as Mitchell’s Plain, Philippi, and Athlone, it has been suggested, to ensure a safe connection between the city centre and other suburbs too.<\/p>\n
