Key is the increasing attendance of African countries at Indaba, 22 to date, with a total of 1242 buyers having booked to attend to date. \u00a0The Minister announced that a new bidding process will commence after Indaba 2014.<\/p>\n<p>* \u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wegotads.co.za\/Legals\/listings\/705\/Case+Number+CT2146+13+IN+THE+REGIONAL+COURT+FOR+TH\/details\/1129543.htm\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Bistrot Bizerca appears to be in liquidation<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. \u00a0 The restaurant has been a Top 10 and Best Bistro restaurant in the past, but appears to have<a href=\"http:\/\/www.whalecottage.com\/blog\/cape-town\/restaurant-review-is-bistrot-bizerca-really-a-bistro\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> lost energy when it moved into Heritage Square<\/strong><\/span><\/a> over a year ago. \u00a0(<strong>Note<\/strong>: See Comments for response on behalf of Bizerca, not explaining its liquidation in 2012, when it moved to the new premises)<\/p>\n<p>* \u00a0 South Africa&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tourismupdate.co.za\/NewsDetails.aspx?newsId=71991\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>tourism growth is estimated to be 3,6%<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, below the global growth rate<!--more--> of 4,3%, according to the World Travel and Tourism Council, measuring the impact of tourism in 184 countries. Tourism contributes R323 billion to our country&#8217;s economy, representing close to 10% of the GDP and 1,4 million jobs.<\/p>\n<p>* \u00a0 Kleine Zalze has received ethical accreditation from Fairtrade for its work in assisting its <em>&#8216;previously disadvantaged workers&#8217;,<\/em> as well as protecting the environment, the result of a two year process. \u00a0The Stellenbosch wine estate is to launch a Fairtrade range of wines, the proceeds of which will benefit its workers. (received via media release from Manley Communications)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">* \u00a0 Orphanage Cocktail Emporium barkeep Assaf Yechiel has won the South African leg of the Bacardi Legacy Competition, held in Sandton last week. \u00a0His<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">\u00a0&#8216;Dream Catcher&#8217; cocktail \u00a0is made of Bacardi Superior Rum, Pomegranate Juice, Dill Syrup, and Fermet Branca, which Assaf explained as follows: &#8216;<\/span><i style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">it is about inspiring people to follow through with their &#8211; I would love to do that &#8211; moments. To live a little more, worry a little less and embrace life\u2019s bizarre and wonderful gifts.
