* \u00a0 Durbanville Hills Rhinofields Chardonnay 2012 has been selected as one of the world’s Top 10 wines in the 2014 Chardonnay du Monde, achieving this accolade against 794 wines from forty countries. \u00a0Cellarmaster Martin Moore attributes the rolling of the barrels to the complexity and success of the wine.\u00a0 \u00a0He also says that he does not allow the wine to be overpowered by wood. \u00a0Minimal rain during the 2012 summer season also contributed to the wine’s success. * \u00a0 The Spur Corporation is to invest R36 million in Braviz Fine Foods’ new 6000 m\u00b2 meat processing plant in Johannesburg, \u00a0specialising in processing rib cuts, reports The New Age<\/strong>. \u00a0To date Spur has sourced ribs, which are one of the most popular items on the menu, from Europe, the factory being able to process 700 tons of ribs a month for the 272 Spur restaurants as well as for export. \u00a0Over time other meat types will be processed at the factory too.<\/p>\n
