* \u00a0 CNN<\/strong> has included Cape Town as one of the\u00a0Best Easter egg hunts around the world,<\/strong><\/span><\/a> in the company of London, New York, Miami, Vienna, Washington, France, Toronto, and Sydney. \u00a0The hunt for the treasure chest of Easter eggs on Table Mountain was guided by clue cards handed out by Mad Hatters Tea Party characters.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Fourteen travel bloggers, two from South Africa, will form part of a #MeetSouthAfrica blog campaign by SA Tourism<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, the bloggers travelling throughout our country and blogging about their journey, culminating in INDABA, the travel expo in Durban in early May.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 A tasting of five wines in Seattle in Washington last week included as the only South African wine Graham Beck Brut Ros\u00e9 2009. \u00a0Unfortunately its write up about the winemaker Pieter Ferreira is completely incorrect, referring to him as ‘skilled winemaker Graham Beck, who trained for years in the Champagne region before returning home to his native South Africa to make wine. Many consider Beck responsible for positioning South African wine firmly among the great winemaking regions in the world<\/em>‘.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 SA Tourism has included four local picnic destinations<\/strong><\/span><\/a> in its promotion of our country, being a self-bring picnic at Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, as well as picnics made by Boschendal, Vergelegen, and Spier.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 South African Andre Lotz and his American wife Margo have opened Firehouse Wine Bar & Shop<\/strong><\/span><\/a> in Mobile, Alabama, both selling as well as serving wines and beers. \u00a0They plan to offer South African style tapas dishes too.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 World Book Day will be celebrated on Wednesday, with City of Cape Town libraries hosting story-telling sessions, reports The CapeTowner<\/strong>. \u00a0The Central Library will host a Storytelling Festival, to be held in the Company’s Garden. \u00a0UNESCO initiated the annual celebration of books, of reading, publishing, and copyright almost 20 years ago.<\/p>\n
