\"Bunter<\/a><\/span>If it depends on<\/span> Bunte<\/strong> magazine, Germany’s largest selling lifestyle magazine, the Boerewors dishes sold at Gourmet Boerie are a memorable part of a visit to Cape Town!<\/span><\/p>\n

Guiding visitors to Cape Town, last week’s article about our city<\/strong><\/span><\/a> is the last substantial one since the 2010 World Cup, when Cape Town was featured in Bunte<\/strong> regularly. \u00a0Cape Town has fallen off Bunte<\/strong>‘s travel radar, \u00a0despite Germany now being the largest source country for tourists to Cape Town.<\/p>\n

Table Mountain, Camps Bay, and Robben Island are described as the tourist classics of Cape Town. \u00a0The article advises visitors to see the city from the top of the mountain, so that one can admire the view of the city centre, the other mountains, and the ocean. \u00a0Views from Lion’s Head and Chapman’s Peak are also praised, as is what is described as one of the longest coastal roads along the Atlantic Seaboard travelling south.<\/p>\n

A number of ‘culinary delights<\/em>‘ are recommended for eating and drinking. Good coffee is recommended at Origin, roasting its own coffees, and is said in the article to be in ‘Cape Quarters’<\/em>, but obviously meaning De Waterkant! \u00a0Belthazar is recommended for fish or steak, the restaurant to be found in the ‘harbour’<\/em>, the article states! \u00a0The culinary highlight \u00a0of Cape Town, according to the unnamed writer of the article, is Boerewors, served at ‘Barbeques’<\/em> and at Gourmet Boerie, that served at the \"Gourmetboerie\"<\/a>latter being memorable!<\/p>\n

The superficial article about Cape Town comes across as a very short and sweet, not well researched, article filling a space in the magazine. \u00a0One senses that the writer did not visit the city, but just hashed together the three paragraph article via \u00a0information from a Google search, or a past visitor’s recommendations! \u00a0Superficial or not, any free publicity for Cape Town is excellent news, especially given the magazine’s close to 4 million readership!<\/p>\n
