* \u00a0 SA Tourism has announced that from the 2015\/2016 financial year it will read arrivals to our country as ‘Tourist Arrivals’<\/em> only,<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and not as all ‘foreign arrivals’<\/em>. \u00a0In the past arrival statistics have been criticised for being inflated and inaccurate. \u00a0This means that the new tourism arrival figures will be lower than those read currently.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Uber has been temporarily banned from operating in Germany, by a court in Frankfurt, for not meeting that country’s Passenger Transportation Act. \u00a0Uber has vowed to continue operating in Germany, the taxi association having taking it to court.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Woolworths is feeling the effect of the boycott against the retailer by Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israel in South Africa (BDS SA), reports The New Age<\/strong>, especially in food and clothing sales, as well as in its share price. \u00a0The pro-Palestine boycott group is protesting that Woolworths is importing tomatoes from Israel. \u00a0Woolworths has declared that its imports from Israel represent only 0.1% or R12 million in value.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 A breathtaking advertisement has been filmed in downtown Cape Town for BMW\u00a0M235i<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, with some stunning stunts!<\/p>\n

* \u00a0The New Italian Design<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, a travelling exhibition of 288 projects by 133 Italian designers, will come to Cape Town as part of the city hosting World Design Capital 2014. \u00a0The contemporary design event will run from 5-25 October 2014 at the Lookout in the V&A Waterfront.<\/div>\n
