* \u00a0 Mrs Liz McGrath, owner of The Collection by Liz McGrath, which includes The Cellars-Hohenhort, \u00a0The Marine, and The Plettenberg, with The Lord Milner in Matjiesfontein recently taken over by her too, passed away this weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n

* \u00a0 James Laube, writing for\u00a0Wine Spectator<\/strong>, generically describes\u00a0South African wines as aiming for longevity,<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0of up to 40 years. \u00a0Cape Point Vineyards winemaker Duncan Savage told him: ‘South African winemakers say they feel as if they’re in a state of limbo. “It’s as if we’re in the New World of the Old World, or part of the Old World in the New World’. \u00a0<\/em>He expressed his personal dislike of our country’s ‘low pH, high-acidity wines’<\/em>.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0Cape Town already has a street named after former President FW de Klerk,<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in Wesbank it has been discovered,\"\"unknown even to the City of Cape Town. Tony Ehrenreich, COSATU Secretary-General for the Western Cape, is outraged about the street name in Wesbank, and will fight for it to be removed, in addition to attempt to prevent the renaming of Table Bay Boulevard to FW de Klerk Boulevard!<\/p>\n
