* \u00a0 More than 400 African tourism products and services have signed up as exhibitors at INDABA2015, to be held in Durban from 9 – 11 May.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 SAA is resuming daily direct non-stop flights between Johannesburg and New York<\/strong><\/span><\/a> from 7 March, a time reduction on the northern route of one and a half hours.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 ‘Fifty Shades of Grey<\/em>‘ is on everyone’s lips the world over, with its international release today, timed to coincide with Valentine’s Day tomorrow. \u00a0 Klein Constantia\u2019s Vin de Constance, Napoleon\u2019s favourite sweet wine, as well as Bollinger, make an appearance in the film, Christian Grey drinking Grande\u00a0Ann\u00e9e Ros\u00e9 1999. The two wine brands also appear in the book.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0\u00a0The recent India Road Show<\/strong><\/a> by 63 local tourism product and service owners has been very successful, says SA Tourism Country Manager for India Hanneli Slabber, adding: ‘This year, we saw a lot of South African suppliers making their debut in India through the roadshow and they have all received tremendous response and enquiries from all markets. As a tourism board, we are glad to provide this interactive platform for enhancing destination knowledge and strengthening business opportunities between Indian trade and SA products. During the roadshow, we saw travel agent\u2019s inclination to learn and sell luxury and adventure offerings of South Africa’.<\/em><\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Woolworths’ sales may be affected by loadshedding in future, even though the retailer has invested in generators for most of its stores and distribution centres, to maintain the cold chain. Woolworths CEO Ian Moir said: ‘It\u2019s not the first time this country has seen load shedding, although not this bad \u2026 We can protect our food so we don\u2019t have waste, so we\u2019re less impacted than others but if you look at the loadshedding projections, its going to be a tougher six months than the last’.<\/em><\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Ernst Gouws & Co has changed its logo and label<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, to round from previously oval, inspired by the ‘circle of life’<\/em>. \u00a0The label now uses matt copper foil on cotton-type paper stock, reflecting Gouws Snr’s personal seal of approval.<\/p>\n
