* \u00a0 All Johannesburg – New York SAA flights in both directions will now be non-stop<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, the America-bound flight becoming non-stop too. The route popularity and the reduction of 90 minutes flight time have motivated the change.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Due to the devastating fires last week, Table Mountain National Park has requested locals and visitors to stay away from Tokai forest and Silvermine,<\/strong><\/span><\/a> deeming them to be unsafe, with continued flare-ups, and trees falling.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Burger King Worldwide has its eye on the African continent<\/strong><\/span><\/a> for opening new outlets, after its successful South African launch two year ago. \u00a0The South African operation wants to open in Angola next, and has the rights to Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, and Mauritius. In our country Burger King plans to double the number of its branches to 60 in the next four months.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 SA Tourism is organising a roadshow in China<\/strong><\/span><\/a> at the end of June, visiting Beijing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai, both countries sharing information about their respective tourism products. \u00a0 SA Tourism has invited 20 key trade members to attend Indaba in May. \u00a0Recently the Beijing News<\/strong> awarded the SA Tourism office in Beijing the ‘Tourism Brand with the Most Humanistic Spirit’<\/em>.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Lanzerac is hosting a 3-course Winemaker Dinner on 25 March, hosted by Cellar Master Wynand Lategan and Executive Chef Stephen Fraser in its The Taphuis. \u00a0The focus will be on the wine estate’s Chardonnay, Merlot, and Pinotage wines. \u00a0 Cost is R375.
