* \u00a0 The Test Kitchen has been ranked 44th on the Elite Traveler Top 100 Restaurants 2015 list, climbing one position relative to the 2014 list. \u00a0The elite magazine is distributed in 100 countries, and its website receives 300000 visitors per month. * \u00a0 Tourism Minister Derek Hanekom has indicated that Tourism trade shows must be re-evaluated in how they market our country<\/strong><\/span><\/a>: \u00a0‘One thing we need to properly come to terms with in our country is that our resources are limited and we need to use these limited resources a lot better. We need better alignment in our marketing efforts. \u00a0It simply makes no sense to have national, provincial and local governments exhibiting separately and alongside each other at these trade shows’<\/em>. \u00a0Ultimately product owners and buyers need to connect at such shows.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 TripAdvisor has published a list of its Top 10 destinations in South Africa<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. \u00a0Nine of these are in the Western Cape. \u00a0Cape Town tops the list, followed by Knysna, Franschhoek, \u00a0Plettenberg Bay, Johannesburg, Constantia, Camps Bay, Hermanus, Paarl, and Stellenbosch.\u00a0Overall Cape Town was ranked 10th out of Top 25 destinations to visit in 2015.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Research conducted in the UK by Naked Wines shows that UK wine drinkers are moving to more intense, higher alcohol wines.<\/strong><\/span><\/a> \u00a0Interestingly, this change in wine taste preference is linked to climate change!<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 First Thursday tomorrow will feature art at 33 galleries in the Cape Town city centre,<\/strong><\/span><\/a> most galleries staying open until 21h00.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Klein Optenhorst is opening its garden in Wellington<\/strong><\/span><\/a> on 18 and 19 April.
