\"Dairy<\/a>The winner of the 2015 SA Dairy Championships is Marcel’s Frozen Yoghurt, which was named South African Dairy Product of the Year for its Woolworths Tropical Fruit Frozen Yoghurt.<\/p>\n

Organisers of the Championships Agri-Expo said that it is the first time in the history of the dairy product competition that a frozen yoghurt has won the SA Dairy Championships, against a total of close to 900 dairy product entries received from 80 dairy producers, judged by 61 judges, including chefs and food writers. \u00a0A total of 95 dairy products were named South African Champions, and 12 received a Qualit\u00e9 Award.<\/p>\n

Founded 25 years ago in Stellenbosch, Marcel’s Frozen Yoghurt\u00a0has expanded its outlets throughout our country, as well as to Botswana and Saudi Arabia. \u00a0Its product range is healthy, containing probiotics, and its fat content for some of its products has been reduced from 5 % to 2,4%. \u00a0Natural fruit syrups and flavourings are used.<\/p>\n

The Qualit\u00e9 Award is a mark of excellence for dairy products, and the 12\u00a0winners this year are\u00a0a Baby Gouda from Ladismith Cheese, Karoo Crumble from Langbaken Karoo Cheese, Renosterbos Estate from Foxenburg Estate, Food Lover\u2019s Market Low Fat Butter Toffee Flavoured Milk from Fairfield Dairy, Woolworths Tropical Fruit Frozen Yoghurt from Marcel\u2019s Frozen Yoghurt,\u00a0 Huguenot matured for 12 months from Dalewood Fromage, Lanquedoc from Dalewood Fromage, Woolworths Cream Cheese Roulade from Fairview Cheese Company, Woolworths Chevin with Garlic & Herbs from Fairview Cheese Company, Salmon Flavoured Low Fat Cream Cheese from Parmalat SA, Simonsberg Low Fat Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese from Parmalat SA, and Woolworths Matured White Cheddar 18 months old from Parmalat SA.<\/p>\n
