Warm weather in August resulted in earlier bud break, after which a warm, dry and windy summer kept vineyard growth under control and accelerated ripening by approximately two weeks&#8217;<\/em>, said Francois Viljoen, manager of VinPro\u2019s Consultation Service. It has also been described as one of the &#8216;<em>healthiest in years&#8217;<\/em>, with almost no disease or rot. Record crops were achieved in Worcester.<\/p>\n<p>* \u00a0 In addition to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.whalecottage.com\/blog\/cape-town\/camps-bay-undergoes-major-road-upgrade-short-term-irritation-long-term-benefit-for-capetonians\/\">major roadworks in Camps Bay<\/a>,<\/strong><\/span> and on the intersection between Adderley and Strand Streets,<!--more--> the City of Cape Town has commenced with road repairs on Beach Road in Sea Point, between Helen Suzman Boulevard and Worcester Road, costing R3,9 million and to be completed by mid-June, reports the <strong>Atlantic Sun<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>* \u00a0 Majeka House will be offering Afternoon Tea from 22 May onwards, from 14h30 &#8211; 17h00. At the first Afternoon Tea Mingwei will perform a traditional Taiwanese Tea Ceremony. \u00a0Treats are served on three-tier stands, and may include a savoury scone, a Madeleine, an\u00a0\u00e9clair, fruit tartlet, miniature roulade, macaroon, meringue, and marshmallows.
