* \u00a0The 6% decline in international Tourist arrivals in the first quarter of this year is the biggest since our country became a democracy 21 years ago, writes the Financial<\/b> Times<\/b>. Ebola is partly to blame, but the new visa rules are the main reason, requiring personal biometric evaluation in India, China, and Russia, and unabridged birth certificates for children. Grant Thornton has referred to the visa dilemma as the ‘first serious crisis stage’ <\/i>of our Tourism industry!<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Groot Constantia celebrated its 330th anniversary earlier this week, making it our country’s oldest wine-producing farm, as well as in the Southern Hemisphere.
