* \u00a0 The South African Reserve Bank announced today that it will increase the interest rate by 0,25 %!<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway will close for its annual maintenance<\/strong> <\/span><\/a>on Monday 27 July until 9 August. Maintenance work will be undertaken, and the cable car cabins will be upgraded too. The maintenance work is overseen by Swiss engineers, to meet the global cableway safety standards of the Swiss Governing Body for Cableways.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Uber is looking at introducing UberPool<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, allowing the sharing of taxi rides by persons living in the same area, as well as UberEats, a restaurant food delivery service.<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 The\u00a0Stack in Leinster Hall in Gardens in Cape Town burnt down on Tuesday afternoon, just one week after opening. Owners Nigel Pace and Sarah Ord posted on Facebook: ‘We confirm that a fire broke out at 15h30 today causing significant damage to this historic building. We are grateful to report that there have been no injuries to either staff or guests. While devastated by the damage, we wish to extend our sincere gratitude to Cape Town Fire Fighters and Volunteer Wildfire Services for their quick response and dedication to getting the blaze under control. At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown and investigations will begin immediately. Builders will return to the site tomorrow morning with the aim of opening The Stack as soon as possible. Members of the public are encouraged to keep an eye on The Stack\u2019s social media channels for more updates and news<\/em>‘.<\/p>\n
