* The Tourism Business Council of South Africa has emailed accommodation establishments that amendments made. to the Immigration Act 13 of 2002 last year requires of hotels, motels, boarding houses, lodges, guest houses, and apartment buildings to keep a register of their guests<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, take a copy of their ID or passport (none of them do), and take the residential address details. Failure to do so may result in a fine and\/or imprisonment of up to 12 months! Interesting is that B&Bs are not included in the list, and that Airbnb is excluded<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, being accommodation in private homes and apartments in the main!<\/p>\n

* \u00a0 Cape Wine 2015 will include a number of seminars<\/strong><\/span><\/a> on topics as diverse as typicity of\u00a0terroir; new South African varietals; a holistic approach to winemaking, life, and the environment; trends in local blends; the new era of South African wine; innovative thinking in the wine industry; wine tourism; and the potential of investing in our local industry. \u00a0The show takes place from 15 – 17 September.<\/p>\n

*. \u00a0Top benchmark wines made in the ‘Sixties and ‘Seventies will be available for sale at the 41st Nederburg Auction, to be held on 11 and 12 September. Ageworthy wines which have been included are Lanzerac Cabernet 1957, Lanzerac Pinotage 1965, Chateau Libertas 1965, Zonnebloem Cabernet 1965, Alto Cabernet 1975, Meerlust Rubicon 1986, Jaubert Family Muscat 1800, KWV Limited Release Port 1948 and White Port 1966, Monis Collectors Marsala 1983. * \u00a0More than 2000 young wines have been entered into the 2015 SA Young Wine Show, for judging during this week. Particularly many entries were received in the Shiraz, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sauvignon Blanc categories. Trophies will be awarded in 17 classes.
