\"City<\/a>The Sweet Service Award<\/strong> goes to the City of Cape Town, for proactively (or was it a 6-month delayed reaction to our request?) trimming the palm tree on our pavement, which sheds its fronds into our property whenever we have strong winds blowing in Fresnaye. The City has been poor in coming to collect the fronds falling onto the pavements and streets after storms, despite our suburb being heavily populated with palm trees<\/p>\n

The Sour Service Award<\/strong> goes to the City of Cape Town for its continued roadworks in Camps Bay, which were meant to have been completed by now. The completion date is now scheduled for mid-October, with a warning that it may well be mid-November, according to an e-mail sent to Camps Bay Watch. Camps Bay now looks like a construction site, with the roadworks, pavements being dug up for Internet cabling, and other roads being repaired, such as Geneva Drive, which has carried the brunt of the traffic since the roadworks on Camps Bay Drive began in April, now slowing down the traffic even further!<\/p>\n
