The 4,5 million liters of Nigeria&#8217;s imports from our country are mainly Pinotage and Merlot.<\/p>\n<p>* \u00a0 Chef Luke Dale-Roberts is to open a pop-up The Test Kitchen restaurant at<!--more--> The Saxon in Johannesburg on 21 January. \u00a0Chef Luke says he looks forward to testing the reaction of the Johannesburg market to his food. The new<a href=\"http:\/\/lifestyle.iafrica.com\/food\/wine-and-spirits\/1006276.html\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> Helix <em>&#8216;twist to open cork&#8217;<\/em> was launched<\/span><\/a> at CapeWine 2015last week, a collaboration between Amorim cork and glass bottle manufacturer O-I. The bottles have been designed with an internal thread in its neck, and the cork is re-usable. Vinimark is the first user of the cork locally, for its Krone Chardonnay Pinot Noir 2015.<\/p>\n<p>* \u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedrinksbusiness.com\/2015\/09\/flagstone-celebrates-cinderella-chenin\/\"> Bruce Jack of Flagstone Winery has launched Tributary<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, a Chenin Blanc made from 45-year old bush vines from Perdeberg. It will be sold in the UK for \u00a330. It is the first Flagstone single variety use of Chenin Blanc, and Jack is confident that it will age for 20-30 years. Jack refers to Chenin Blanc as the &#8216;Cinderella&#8217; variety, having been a workhouse and now is a &#8216;princess&#8217;!<\/p>\n<p>*. \u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tourismupdate.co.za\/home\/Detail?articleId=102058\">Domestic air fares have decreased in the past three years<\/a><\/strong> <\/span>due to increased competition. Comair is the first to feel the effect of this decrease, its profit having declined by 17%. FlySafair is offering the lowest Domestic fares, at R499 one way between Johannesburg and Cape Town, a sustainable rate if the aircraft remain fully booked.<\/p>\n<p>*. \u00a0Tokara is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its &#8216;<em>Wine made Art&#8217;<\/em>, 25 works of art created by students of the Mari\u00e9 Stander School of Art painting with Tokara Shiraz, and on show until the end of January.
