\"image\"<\/a>Chef Luke Dale-Roberts of The Test Kitchen is to set up a pop-up restaurant at The Saxon Hotel<\/a><\/strong><\/span> in Johannesburg on 21 January 2016.<\/p>\n

This will be the third pop-up restaurant that Chef Luke opens, having previously popped-up with The Pot Luck Club in Verbier, and earlier this year in Austria. The duration of his pop-up at The Saxon has not been announced.<\/p>\n

Despite Chef David Higgs leaving The Saxon in December, where he is in charge of the five hundred and Qunu restaurants of the hotel, and leaving Chef Candice Philip to take over from him as Head Chef, The Test Kitchen pop-up restaurant will open, an odd move which could signal that The Saxon does not have confidence in the handover from Chef David.<\/p>\n

Chef Luke will fly to Johannesburg regularly. He said about his move: ‘I’m excited to venture into the Joburg market and see how diners there react to The Test Kitchen style of food’.<\/em><\/p>\n
